BAM has been on the builder insurance bandwagon for a few years, and we are sure you are familiar with our product, Quadriga Builders Insurance. The creatiion of QBI took a huge effort by your fellow Association members, and has been a great start toward an industry-wide solution to the lack of a quality general liability product.
A New Improved Q
Like the beginnings of any massive undertaking, QBI has been unable to be all things to all builders, but we've got exciting news! Our work to pass the Notice and Opportunity to Repair legislation in 2005, to fight legal cases that unfairly seek payment from builders and their insurance companies, and the outstanding set of Best Building Practices have enticed larger insurers back into the marketplace. Quadriga Builders Insurance and the Builders Association of Minnesota have teamed up with Continental Western Insurance Group to bring our members throughout the state a better, more comprehensive package of insurance products.
Continental Western Group (CWG) is large enough to meet your insurance needs but small enough to tailor the Minnesota product for YOU, our Association members. CWG is offering a similar insurance prgram to members of the Iowa Home Builders Association and the Wisconsin Home Builders Association with great success.
The new program is called Continental Western Group Quality Insurance. You will get the same great service that Quadriga offered, but also a new and stronger policy form and an additional set of products. All members of the Association will now have access to a solid insurance product offered by a reputable standard market.
Partnership Allows QBI To:
- Offer coverage to smaller builders
- Offer coverage to subcontractors
- Offer occurrence based policies
Covering All Your Business Needs
Now, not only will you be able to purchase general liability insurance, but you will also be able to purchase builders risk, auto and umbrella coverage as well! Of course, BAM will continue to endorse The Builders Group for your workers' compensation insurance.
A Dividend Structure to Ensure the Best Value
The new CWG Quality Insurance program will offer all participants to pool their buying power to achieve lower rates and give policyholders the potential to earn dividends on lines of insurance based on the group's loss ration.
How to Get It
Continental Western Group Quality Insurance was made available to all members of the Builders Association of Minnesota on April 1. Contact your agent and ask for the Continental Western Quality Insurance program.
The program will not require builders to purchase additional warranty insurance, but it will require you to follow a set of best building practices developed by Quadriga Builders Insurance and the Builders Association of Minnesota. Quality building is the key to the success of this program!
