Serving the Home Building and Remodeling Industry

How to Join BAM:

BAM is part of a network of knowledgeable organizations that works to improve your business and the industry as a whole.

You actually join BAM through your local builder's association. BAM is the umbrella organization for home builders and works on statewide issues. There are 15 local builder associations around the state. Each local association has a different process for becoming a member and each offers a variety of services such as: Parade of Homes, Home Shows, monthly membership meetings, education opportunities and camaraderie.

When you join the local association, a portion of your dues is sent to the Builders Association of Minnesota and the National Association of Home Builders. You join one of the local associations and automatically become a member with BAM and NAHB to provide you with access to resources that can answer your building and business related questions, whatever they may be.

Keeping You Informed

Minnesota Builder

Our primary communication tool for membership is the quarterly magazine, Minnesota Builder. Updates on codes, legal cases, legislative changes and other industry related information are relayed to you and your staff. Each member receives one copy complimentary with membership, and can access the publication through the members-only website to share with staff.

Monday Morning Briefing

Run from early fall through the late spring, the weekly e-newsletter, Monday Morning Briefing, keeps members informed of changes affecting the industry as they happen. Members who opt in to the MMB are the first to know when the legislature is working on industry related laws, the first to learn about the best education opportunities, and are able to keep their businesses a step ahead of the competition.

The BAM Website Network

Information is always at your fingertips when you are a member of BAM. Just log-in to the members-only website for access to information and tools that will help you in all aspects of the construction industry. Find legislation with easy to understand summaries, Q&A and forms to help with compliance of laws and codes, forums to ask questions of your peers, and much more.

The public site, www.bamn.org helps educate your clients about hiring a licensed contractor and how the construction process works. Let your prospects know about www.bamn.org as a tool to prepare home-buyers for the ups and downs of a construction schedule.

You can now also take advantage of www.home-smart.org, the premier home maintenance website built specifically for Minnesota's climate.
