Serving the Home Building and Remodeling Industry

How to Join BAM:

BAM is part of a network of knowledgeable organizations that works to improve your business and the industry as a whole.

You actually join BAM through your local builder's association. BAM is the umbrella organization for home builders and works on statewide issues. There are 15 local builder associations around the state. Each local association has a different process for becoming a member and each offers a variety of services such as: Parade of Homes, Home Shows, monthly membership meetings, education opportunities and camaraderie.

When you join the local association, a portion of your dues is sent to the Builders Association of Minnesota and the National Association of Home Builders. You join one of the local associations and automatically become a member with BAM and NAHB to provide you with access to resources that can answer your building and business related questions, whatever they may be.

Member Services - Research

Extensive Research For Members Only

BAM's research department strives to find answers to today's industry issues through member surveys, product testing, field research and contact with industry and academic professionals. Over the past year alone, BAM has launched a research initiative to find solutions to the mold/moisture problems, has worked with state code officials to ensure mechanical code changes are reasonable and has researched best practices to help you keep up to date with industry innovations. The results of our numerous research projects improve codes, laws and building practices to help save you money and build your customers a higher quality product.

We'll Answer Members' Questions

When members have a question about a code, law or building practice, they can call our research department for an answer. If we don't have an answer for the question, we make it our business to find one!
