January 14, 2008 — Joe Robson, a builder and developer from Tulsa, Okla., is the 2007 Vice President/Treasurer of the 235,000-member National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) and Minnesota is honored to welcome him at the first annual Minnesota Builders Convention taking place January 25th through the 27th at Cragun’s in Brainerd.
A leader in the Tulsa area home building and development industries for more than 25 years, Robson is founder and president of The Robson Companies, Inc., developers of residential communities
and commercial properties. His honors have included Oklahoma Builder of the Year in 1994 and Tulsa Home Builder of the Year in 1992.
Robson has long been a driving force in local, state and national home builder associations throughout his career. In addition, his services as a director of the Federal Home Loan Bank of Topeka; a director of the Broken Arrow, Tulsa and State Chambers of Commerce; and a member of the Oklahoma Judicial Nominating Committee give him a unique perspective on the connections building businesses have to our communities.
During the Minnesota Builders Convention, Robson will have the opportunity to share with Minnesota builders the efforts that the national association is making on their behalf to improve the residential construction market, and share some of the tools available to members of the association. Robson will also conduct the installation ceremony for incoming Builders Association of Minnesota leadership.
Convention attendees will meet to discuss a host of industry topics to improve the efficiency and professionalism of their businesses. Topics include: marketing; warranties and contracts; land use issues; general liability insurance, business succession and best practices.
