Minnesota Home Builder Diane Willenbring
Installed as NAHB Women's Council Chair

2/21/2007 - Minnesota home builder, Diane Willenbring was installed as the 2007 chairman of the National Association of Home Builders’ (NAHB) Women’s Council at the 63rd annual International Builders’ Show® in Orlando, Fla. earlier this month.

Willenbring, who has been vice president of Willenbring Construction, in St. Cloud, Minn., for the past 30 years, is a Central Minnesota Builders Association and Builders Association of Minnesota member and has been a member-at-large on the NAHB Women’s Council since the early 1980s. Additionally, she has served on the NAHB Women’s Council Board of Trustees as a regional trustee.

“The NAHB’s Women’s Council is an outstanding support network for professional women in the home building industry,” said Willenbring. “I am looking forward to building upon the past success of the Council and expanding our impact in the market by helping women learn to be first-rate building professionals and industry leaders.” 

As chairman of the NAHB Women's Council, Willenbring’s primary responsibilities will include managing the business and affairs of the Council and representing the interests of Women’s Council members throughout the NAHB federation.

ABOUT THE NAHB WOMEN’S COUNCIL: The NAHB Women's Council is an organization dedicated to supporting the professional development of women in the home building industry.  Serving more than 2,300 members, the council is a network of local and state councils and members-at-large that provides direct member services through education and training programs focused on professional and leadership development, networking opportunities, and industry-related information. 

ABOUT BAM: The Builders Association of Minnesota is a St. Paul-based trade association representing over 4,800 members involved in home building, remodeling, multifamily construction, and other aspects of residential and light commercial construction industry. BAM is associated with 14 local associations throughout the state and the National Association of Home Builders as a charter member.
