SCBA works to provide members with the resources that we truly need.
We meet on a monthly basis so we can get to know one another and share advice. Our board meets directly prior to the general membership meeting, and keeps us informed of association activity.
With
rates increasing and actual coverage decreasing, members of the association
stepped forward to help create Quadriga Builders Insurance, A Risk Retention
Group (QBI). Formed by builders, for builders, this product is only available
to members.
QBI strives to provide quality coverage at a reasonable rate to qualifying members. Visit CWG Quality Insurance for more information and to find an agent.
Workers Comp
is also very important, and unique coverage for the building industry is
available through The Builders Group. Visit www.TBGmn.com
for more information.
Each year, builders are required to attend seven hours of education. SCBA provides quality education at a reasonable price.
Registration is open for the next course(s). Take a look at our current classes and register!
Each year, the SCBA conducts Homes on Parade. Members are invited to enter homes built in the area, and SCBA takes care of the marketing.
Our Homes on Parade takes place in April and May. Members should watch the mail for more information.
In addition to our Parade, SCBA also hosts two home shows. Centered in Owatonna and Faribault, members have the chance to meet with prospective homeowners before the building season gets crazy.
To keep you informed, we publish the SCBAngle monthly. The newsletter contains association updates, industry news and a few helpful business tips geared for the building industry.
We want to make sure our communication tools are useful to you. If you have any suggestions or requests, please let us know.
