When the 2022 regular legislative session began, you may have looked at the calendar and seen this day, the first of the final weekend before lawmakers must conclude their business, and thought to yourself, “Maybe things will wrap up early this year and I won’t have to work.” But deep down, you feared you would. And here we are.
Some conference committees have finished, others are still meeting, and the clock is ticking down until 11:59 p.m. tomorrow, by when all bills must be passed off the House and Senate floors.
The House plans to convene its floor session at noon but that will likely be the first of many starts and recesses throughout the day.
There may be much starting and stopping with conference committees as well. Due to fluid nature of events this time of year, the most up-to-date list of upcoming conference committee meetings can be found on the Combined Legislative Meeting Calendar.
