On-The-Job Training Grants available

Apprenticeship Minnesota at the Department of Labor and Industry has made $23,000 available for On-The-Job Training Grants.  The funding is part of the Minnesota Registered Apprenticeship Expansion (MNRAE) grant efforts.

How it works

Applicants may be eligible for up to $300 for each new registered apprentice. These funds could be used to off-set expenses related to on-the-job training.  Funding is available for new registered apprenticeship programs and employers interested in developing new occupations or expanding an existing registered apprenticeship program.

More information and apply

Apprenticeship Minnesota was awarded $1.35 million dollars from the U.S. Department of Labor’s (U.S. DOL) Employment and Training Administration to expand registered apprenticeship programs in Minnesota.  This initiative is wholly funded with U.S. DOL grant funds, for the purpose of the MNRAE Grant.

Federal Reserve: Current Conditions in the Construction Sector Survey

As the COVID-19 outbreak evolves, the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis continues to gauge economic effects on the construction sector, a bellwether for the broader Ninth District economy, which includes Minnesota, the Dakotas, Montana, western Wisconsin and Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. We are partnering with construction/trade groups to collect feedback from you and other firms in the construction sector.

Please take this 5-minute survey to help the Minneapolis Fed and President Neel Kashkari better current business conditions for your firm.

All responses are anonymous. To maintain anonymity, please do not include any self-identifying information in comments. If you receive a survey alert from multiple partners, please only respond to the survey once.

Your input will help the Federal Reserve System shape monetary policy to help businesses survive the pandemic. We will also share findings in a timely fashion with partnering organizations (that sent you this survey) so survey results can be shared with you as well.

The Minneapolis Fed greatly appreciates your time and insights, and hopes 2021 is off to good start for you and others in the construction sector.
